Got this one for $300 , 52 4 Door. When my buddy FINALLY gets his Model A truck legal we are gonna tear into it. It will be gasser style with a 389 Pontiac, should be a fun project.

I've got an Austin Devon, imported to the UK in 2010 from Washington DC. It's a left hand drive and has a 350 chevy and Thompson's garages front axle. I am hoping to make it look like a Gasser from around 1961, which is the year I was born. check out www.checkereddemon.co.uk for all the details.
this is my dads 1949 Austin A40 Devon it was first built and paint 30 years ago, we are out of Winnipeg, mb http://autoclubs.ca/gallery/2008/080605b/dsc04242.html http://autoclubs.ca/gallery/2011/110911c/img_0155.html
Love A40's We have done up A35's and A90s etc here, but I don't think I have tinkered on one of those. I should rectify that

Nearly. A couple weeks ago, spotted an ad for an A40 pickup with a 4 door parts car for $750. Needing another project like a hole in the head, I ignored it. For about 5 hours. But, I couldn't get it outa my head, so I looked again, the ad was gonzo. Probably for the best, I like sleeping inside.

Here is my Austin it took me about 3 years to get to this point.Custom chassis,10 point cage,4 bar front and rear with 9"and 350 gears. Also has a 355 sbc with nash 4+1.
This is how it looked when I got it,after washing the bird crap off it from sitting in the barn for 22 years.
Thanks,I hope to have it out this summer, probably wont have interior done but I should be out with it.
That is a great looking ride Gasserman, think you got the stance spot on. First drive should get your attention. What size are the carbs?
The carbs are 850 double pumpers. I still think they are a little big ,but the gentleman who build the blower & manifold says no. His quote is "it doesn`t care it`s a blower motor."
Gasserman, looking good, but I see you have got the dreaded Austin door handle droop ! the fix is easy just take the handle off and twist the shaft in a vise till it hangs straight, this will take up slack in the lock, they even came fron the factory with droop like this !
I like your Austin PU. I have one gasser style with Chevy running gear. I want to build the second one with a early Hemi ( no leg room } What front end setup do you have? Is it a production unit? Jim
Just bought this sitting 40 years its been lowered dual exhaust and Holden carb no rot just cool patina
