Anyone have a photo, or diagram, of the interior side of a 1930 Model A Coupe door, without panel, to show the door handle to latch mechanism. I know I am missing some parts, but it's tough to figure out without a visual.

My panels are off. My car is over at a club member's shop though, so I can't snap a pic right this second. They are extremely simple, not much to them at all. Can you post a pic of what you do have? Then we can tell you what you're missing.

I'm sure someone will chime right in with a pic of their's though.

A couple brackets, an actuator rod, and you're there. Any Model A closed car or pickup door except late 31 Slant Windshield will show you what you need to see.

gearheaddp, your photo is exactly what I have, but I am still confused. The horizontal rod activates the lock, but in an up-down motion. A door handle rotates in a circular motion. I still don't get it.

The inside door handle operates in a pull it towards you and up motion, not circular like the outside.

Thanks Vegas, sounds like I have my answer. Anyone have a part # for the interior handle. The ones I see on line look like the regular circular motion ones.

The inside handles look like that, but aren't. If you get the rods, and handles from Mac's, you'll have to file the end of the rods a little to get them to fit the handles. Mac's has everything in their catalog, and I think they have some illustrations if I remember right. I was able to figure out everything to order for my coupe from their book, and it all worked. You'll also need the springs that go on the rods, the brackets that hold the rods to the inner doors, the special screw-nuts that hold the inside handles to the rods, latches, and exterior handles if you are using them. I used outside handles without locks, as I have no side gl***, and skipped the driver door lock, but might be changing that as I want door gl*** soon.

Rod set is part # A46158/9A, and includes springs and brackets, Handle part # is A46250A, Sleeve nuts are # A46250SN all from Mac's. Hope that helps!
