So I'll admit that this may not be everyone's cup of tea. Heck you may think we are crazy. Thought someone one here would get a kick out of this. Took a trip to Kansas on a lead there were "old cars in a ditch". The farm proved to be chalked full of pre 50's cars. Well this 5W was buried about 2 feet deep all the way through. Took a solid day to dig it out. This one didn't prove to be as rust free as the last one...but it was fun.

The next dig is a 32 Ford sedan so I'll post that too. YouTube video is on it's way and I'll post the link when I get it done.

A poke at my Canadian friends. Rumor has it that two Canadian guys were at this location and the old farmer said they moved a few shovel loads and GAVE UP. So we were constantly saying "IF IT WERE EASY....CANADIANS WOULD BE DOING IT". :)

YouTube video is finished. I'm not a computer tech but managed to put this together.

yeah that was our joke the entire time. We called ourselves the "rust hunters" and thought that with all the reality TV crap on today....this had to qualify! Right? Those bozo's on the pickers do nothing but walk around in sheds. We got a perfect 46-8 Ford complete floor and a bunch of other great parts.

I like to watch "Pickers" but over and over they have demonstrated that they really aren't car guys. I watched a re-run today when they found a 48 Chevy Fleetline convertible in the basement of an old cheese factory. And they wouldn't give $1500 for it...
    Good work guys, keep digging!

Good on you! That is amazing work-but for a 36, I say-WORTH IT.

It's guys like this that are going to be keeping these old cars alive in the future. The supply is drying up, and pretty soon a lot of what we thought to be "too much trouble" or "unbuildable" will be the ONLY option available to most.

Way to save a good car, keep the pics coming!

Didn't they use cars as fill during the "dust bowl" times of the late thirties?

And: Didn't you guys do this one other time with a Deuce Tudor?

    Good stuff.

  26. I like these threads, every time someone complains about one of ours being overpriced or unfixable I can just send them a batch of links and say "this is what guys will do for one of these cars" -
