Hey Folks, We're at it again in 2011!! Leadfoot C.C. proudly presents our 3rd annual Poker Run. June 4 2011, rain date June 18. This year with a twist. Instead of just cruising to scheduled spots and grabbing a card then moving on, this year we are adding a killer garage tour at each stop. The tours will all be of collections of Full Cl***ics, meaning you'll see cars that are truly once in a lifetime opportunities. And to see the quality and quan***y of these at each location is really something special. When was the last time you saw a 34 Duesnberg Model J next to a 30 Cadillac V-16 duel cowl all weather pheaton, next to a 1914 American Underslung (only one in a private collection in the world) Next to a 1917 Spreewell Roadster?!?!? That's just one of the stops, and there's a ton more to see there!!!! We will also see an incredible collection of Packards, very early motorcycles, some post was stuff, just basically amazing collections that are very rarely open top the public eye. Cars like these may not be hot rods, but anyone interested in this sport can appreciate what they are. This really is a great opportunity to check out some insane cars and collections.
The run works like any other. We meet at our Club House between 8am and 9am (9 Pier Road, East Providence Rhode Island) We hit the road at 9:30am SHARP!! You grab your first card at this point. The distance to each garage is about 25 minn. of driving ( we are keeping the millage down this year because gas is so damn expensive!!) At each stop you pull a card. Then we head back to the club house and you get the last card. Winner is the one with the best overall hand. If there is somhow a tie, each draws a card and best card wins. There is no limit on how many hands each player can play. Grand prize is $100 cash money, and a cold beer courtesy of Leadfoot C.C. If you don't drink, have a Coke.
After the run we will host one of our notorious "steakfrys' '" If you were there last time you should expect the same. A T-bone so freakin big it doesn't fit on the plate, great sides, cold beer, hot chicks, burnouts, good tunes, blah blah blah....
    Event details are as such:
Date: June 4, rain Date June 18
Location: 9 Pier Road, East Providence RI
Contact: Geoff, 401-743-0288, or PM, or geoffreybkeller@gmail.com
Time: meet, register, etc.8Am- 9AM, WE LEAVE AT 9:30 AM SHARP
Cost: The run, $10 per hand-play as many as you would like
steak fry, $15, includes HUGE T-Bone, sides, salad, plate, fork, etc
Entertainment: Music (probably live) chicks, burnouts, horseshoes, Waterfront deck, general foolishness.
Winner of Poker Run Gets: $100 smack-a-rooosss. 1 Cold Beer, and/or Coke.
You will see: Bad *** Old Cars, Great back road driving, perhaps some female flashing along the way. Perhaps some random acts of foolishness.
All we ask: Don't be a ****, have fun, respect the collections and their owners, do not attend if you would rather sit in a folding chair behind your car with "arms folded" and/or "sour puss" with 3 dozen "do not touch" stickers in the windows, no "time out kids" leaning against your bumper....we will set fire to them.
So that's that on that. It's a good damn time, we always have fun and enjoy meeting new people. Kids are welcome, but we do warn that our events do have a tendency to get a little "R" rated. Tequila and frisky women...do the math bub!! Hope to see some new east coast clubs and friends in attendance. Let me know of any questions. Geoff, President, Leadfoot C.C.

Thanks man, we try. It's only our 3rd year, so hopefully getting the word out this way will help get a few more cars and people. You can check out pics on our facebook page. Leadfoot car club. We make some cool, stuff to give some attendees, we don't call them "trophies" because they really are way better than that!!:D:D:D:D You'll also see pics of our end of the season event, called Rodz and Reelz At The Rustic. We get 2 screens at The Rustic Drive In and play old movies, get some bands, pin up contest, full bar, good food. Oh yaeh, and we host a mini bike race every now and then, but they may or may not be totally "legal" so........ search here for "illegal mini bike race" the club name was different then, but it's all RI based, you'll find them! Hope to see ya there, bring some fellow HAMBer's and please spread the word and keep this thread going! Thanks for the support!

More info is available for the event at "Leadfoot Car Club" on facebook. The publishers from Motorhead Magazine will be there getting pics and stories for upcoming issues. One of the stops will be amazing to say the least. The owner, who has around 200 cars, says he will be getting some "truely very rare stuff" out of his storage building. This is the first time in a veeerrrryyyyyy long time that he has allowed anyone other than friends see what he has. I personally have been to the house but never to the storage building. I don't think many have. When this guy says he's getting some cool stuff out, I can't imagine what to expect! Another collection on the trip has just completed some super rare and beautiful board track racers from the teens. One is a Yale, the rest are Flying Merkels, Harley, Indians, and Pope, and a Miami! I don't want to spoil to much, so one last hint. At the third stop, the owner just yanked an 34 Packard out of a garage in Florida that hasn't seen the light of day since the early 60's. It runs, drives and looks great. He may even cruise the final leg of the tour with it! I hope so, it will be cool as hell to see some full cl***ics running with some **** spreader hot rods!:D:D:D

We finalized the route yesterday, found some old country roads I didn't even know existed! Great run I'm sure everyone will enjoy! I hadn't visited one of the stops in a few years, and when our V.P. and I pulled in the driveway we both had the same reaction...HOLY S%#!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:. The place is just insane! Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Had fun guys, the Steaks were enormous and the stops on the Poker run were mind blowing! Those guys that owned all those vintage cars and motorcycles were so down to Earth. Thank you Leadfoot C.C. for an awsome day. Looking forward to next year!

daily driver maintenance hell changed my plans for me. a chat with jared the day before confirmed that i would regret missing it, but a brake job on your kid's car to make him safe has to win out, i guess. glad you guys all had a good time.
