    meet at my house.
pm me for the address or try to make it to st paul's church in joplin.
they are going to start enforcing a permit only zone tomorrow, so it may be hard for you to get into the church, with out a hike. ill have my permit taking care of in the am.

I was born and raised in Joplin, Mo and I just want to thank each and every one of you that are thinking of those in the area. My entire family lives in Joplin and some of them have lost everything and others are helping on relief crews. I'm going up in a few days to help also. I just cant express how appreciated you all are. You are not only helping those in need but helping me as well, so thanks guys and God bless

    Guys and Gals,
God bless you all for your concerns and donations. I don't reside in Joplin, but I used to drive there every day for work for over 10 years, until my office was leveled on Sunday. My office was across the street from the Home Depot on Range Line and 20th. Words, photos and videos cannot describe what I saw today. Every turn of the head will bring tears to one's eyes. It has been determined that the tornado was an EF-5 now, and sirens were again blowing tonight. Thank God that it was not a tornado on the ground. At this time, the Red Cross is asking for monetary donations as a priority. Anyone that wishes to volunteer, go to the Missouri Southern State university Rec Center, which I believe is in the campus student union.
God Bless All of You. The first picture is of my office, The Big Nickel.

I am watching our news here in British Columbia. Wish we could help. What can we do?

  14. Hi all. It definitely is a BIG mess here in Joplin.
Our home and the entire subdivision on 24th, 25th and 26th
streets in Duquesne was devastated. The convert escaped
with minor damage, but we had to cut it out of the garage.
Took it to the home of a friend with a garage in Webb City.

As we were working today (Tues) picking up stuff from the
house and yard, various folks came by offering food (like sandwiches
and cheese crackers), as well as bottled water......and later hamburgers
    and hot dogs.
We took some of the food as we didn't want to take time to go for
    lunch. That was very helpful.

We haven't ventured into any other areas of town.....to stay out of
the way of others and of course to tend to our own problems.

I'm sure there are people worse off than us, who would appreciate
both physical help like cutting trees....and any other items as you
    mentioned earlier.

I also heard about the pass thing, but don't know how they're
doing it. Will just have to wait till we get there.

I'm always amazed and impressed by the generosity of people on
this forum. I'm sure your assistance will be appreciated.

those pictures just put it all right into perspective. It really is unimaginable that something mother nature had created; could be that devastating. the damage to the cars is unbelievable. My heart aches for you and all of those that those pictures represent. I donated to the Heart of Missourri United Way yesterday. You can go to their website and donate via a paypal account or a credit card. I wish i could hop a plane and come and help. my prayers are with all of you

My heart is breaking for all of the folks affected by this storm. I will not be able to get stuff to Ken before he leaves tomorrow, so we will make a paypal donation... hopefully that will help in some way. Please know each one of you participating in the help of all these people who NEED you at this time, just make tears pour from my eyes!! Good people do exist & you are proving it!! Thank you for your generosity!! You guys are all in our thoughts & prayers!!

Ryno told me that chainsaws are in high demand. Food-ready to eat, cash is good too, as we will be gathering goods as we head north.
Will touch base with Ryno later for more info.
    Thanks a ton, man.

I dodged a bullet yesterday. I had the radio on as I was trying to get the window channel/roll up mechanism out of 60 chevy tailgate.Tornado came through all 3 different ways I drive home. Unfortunately there were some fatalities with children. Its so sad. Can't imagine life without my little boy. Tornado was literally miles away from me. I was going to take my step son for his 5th birthday to these caboose in bed and breakfasts. They were toppled like toys.
I am going to get my chainsaw chains sharpened today. get supplies for the work and get the hard goods for people in joplin. I hope this stuff is done for the season.

Before the storm started debris were falling from the sky. I swerved a direct windshield hit and it caught my fender. It was really strange. It was not windy but stuff was just falling from far above. Bunkered down in a Convenience store at hwy 33 and 74.
