    Hi,

I am not far from letting my car hit back to road after a 2+ year resto,
lots of new parts but sometimes nothing seems to work out as planned.

    I installed a crate 350 v8, crate TCI 700 R4.

    I have bought so far

    lokar universal Throttle cable
    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/LOK-TC-1000HT/

    throttle cable bracket
    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/LOK-SRK-4000/

and TCI TV Cable Bracket Corrector Kit for edelbrock carb
    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TCI-376710/

According to TCI, the throttle cable wont engage whithout a longer threaded ball type stud. I wasnt able to find 'em anywhere from now.

The TV cable I have wont connect to the lever corrector bracket stud

Lokar told me their TV cable would fit the bracket (its a threaded stud on theirs)

Well, I could mount everything right on the carb without the corrector bracket but I am afraid this would fry the trans pretty quickly.
I've tried to buy every part according to compatibility but nothing seems to work and I have no solution yet.

I contacted Speedway and summit to try to get a solution or a complete part number combo but had no answer so far. I am kinda worried because I would not like to run without the corrector bracket and eventually junk the new trans !!

If some of you guys are running an edelbrock performer carb and a 700 R4, PLEASE tell me what ***ing parts I need to buy to get this car finally on the road ! ;)

I bought the kit from Bowtie Overdrives. It had the cable with fittings and the bracket that attaches to the Edelbrock 4106 carb. Contact them or go to their website and check it out. It isn't real cheap but it works great.

I bought a kit from Phoenix Transmissions for my 32 3W with a 700R4. Works great and it is complete. No guessing or making anything. It just bolts on. I installed it per their instructions ( very good instructions ) It is actually about 30 dollars less than the BowTie kit I have been told. My coupe is 2 years on the road and 5/6 thousand miles with no issues. :D

I did one for a friend and he has close to 40 thousand miles on his. Same story ... no issues or problems. There are other kits ( if do a google search  )

My kit came from here @ $154.44

I just installed this same kit in my Truck. Had a pieced together set-up that never worked right. I works great with the 1406 "BTO" kit. Wish I had found it sooner. It's a $160.00 bucks well spent. Much cheaper than a new tranny....

I will also vouch for the BTO kit. Tried to peicemeal it together and just said screw it. Well worth the money. Good instructions that were easy to follow.

Ran an Edlebrock carb on a chevy 350 with a 700r4. Got everything and great tech help from Bowtieoverdrives.com. You set the T.V. Cable with a pressure gauge. Did everything they said and it worked great. Easy to install.
