who's raced there and what do you have to do to be able to race...? didn't see anything on their website....thanks
The website says that they are going to mail entry forms to people that were there last year.....Not really sure other than that. I am still waiting on mine so I can send it in. http://www.museum.nhra.com/apcm/templates/general.asp?articleid=676&zoneid=41&navsource=reunions
PM the organ grinder on the hamb here. He spent a couple years trying to get his car through tech and finally made it. He's the one that pops the m***ive wheelies with his 4 speed BBC Model A. Bad *** stuff.
I raced during the GG event there in Oct. Alittle different then the HRR I know. I would be very interested in finding out the answer as I had a great time on the track and would love to compete at the HRR just for fun.
wanted to race last year , but had some commitments for sunday. now that its over saturday , figured i'd see about trying it. been running it everywhere else , why not there
Tech is TOUGH.....Cross your "T's" and dot your "I's" NHRA website has racer info. There is a telephone number listed for questions. The cl***es are directed to real racer cl***es.....the lowest rated being Hot Rod as a bracket cl***. Unlike Goodguys now defunct race programs, there is no track time for show n shine or street rods.
i'm wanting to know when and how to register to race. anyone ran the hot rod eliminator deal....says its a handicap , qualifying deal..? but says you can not change the dial in .
I am pretty sure that your fastest qualifying time is your dial in.....you are right, you can't change it either.
what is the deal , run as close to the fast qualifying without breaking out? one number for the whole time or are there time runs day to day...?
They've already sent registration packets out. I have mine. You should be able to download it of the NHRA site though. Hot Rod Eliminator is dial in based on your fastest time run, cannot be changed. Gotta be quicker than 12.99. You'll get maybe 3 qualifying shots. The other cl***es are all on indexes in .5 increments until you get to the heads up cl***es. You gotta be deep into the 7's for those.
didn't find it on site.... got a couple phone calls in. hoping to be in the 12.00 range by summer. went 12.30's at last race
Yeah, I just checked the site and saw they don't have the racer registration form on there yet. They did have a downloadable copy last year. Maybe they wait until last years racers have a chance to enter first before they put it up.
bttt...if anyone has ran the hot rod eliminator before , pm me...got a couple questions. gotta make sure how this goes or if theres some "games" played....
Got my card the other day.....noticed in the rules that it has to have fenders to run in hot rod eliminator....is that right?
All the downloadable forms and event info are here: NHRR info I'll be there driving the "Backyard Guys" top fuel car. Stop by and say hello. Dave
