Ill guess striping on "hammerpaint" is as hard as it is on canvas:) but way make it easy. nice clean designs on that stripes. and you know what. 10 yrs ago i was at westcoast nats in Frisco. we stayed th nignt in a motell in Livermore.

  6. I'd say your alot closer than ya think. Very nice, TBonez!

Once a guy gets the "line pulling" thing down the other hard part to striping is Design. It can be difficult to come up with "eye pleasing" designs. Nice going, your in the right direction.

    Great artshow today everybody!

Here's a Voss bottle I did as a goof for a friend. BIG MISTAKE!!
Striping a cylindrical piece of gl*** was awful. You have to hold it in one hand, then you don't have a bracing hand, the gl*** is slippery, and the cylinder makes it real difficult to keep your lines consistent (thickness).
    AAAHHHHGGGGG!!!!!
Oh well, here it is...Shot it on two backgrounds for visibility.

Here's a WIP for a new tiki striped T-shirt for the shop. Still real rough. Heavily influenced by JimmyC, Grimb, and Franco. I need a few more re-draws to get there....

Rollie dig the pannel I can never bring myself to use more then three colors. I always find myself yelling at the woman "what other colors go with ..." Then give up. But the next person that wants me to pistripe or suggests a Iron cross and it is ussualy in red and white too Im just gonna hand them the brush and the paint.

But you cant deny how good red and white of any shade look on black

Here's a guitar I did for the C-POP show this weekend. Anyone that's coming downtown for the Motor City Music Conference, drop in to C-POP. There are a bunch of guitars by local artists on display. It's all one-shot.

No... it had nothing to do with that other show, it was just a take off of it with a different group and style of skaters that do art in our Local San Jose scene. We are not anti any other art shows, we just thought it would be a funny name for one and go off the same ***le of the other show since it's also skateboarders that do art:)
It was a fun time and hope to do more of them in the future.
best wishes and thanks for the compliments everyone also to Dave and Yorgi for coming out to support the show.

  28. Just got back in from the shop.Re-worked a PT Cruiser I did awhile back.Had to re-do the snout due to ineffective application of brakes. He just picked it up.
Got some more stuff to post:
First pic is an airbrushed Rat Fink given to me the other day.Guy who did it is named Lance Rowton. For canvases,he visits the shop that makes convertible tops for Ford,GM,and Chrysler(Dura Convertible Top Systems in Adrian MI)and gets s****s of convertible top material.Great medium and great idea.
Next is a mini surfboard he cut out and sprayed and I doodled on it a bit. Then the Merc in progress. And finally a couple of plates in progress.
