Hi guys, this is an awesome site , whish I had found it sooner. I hate to ask a favor in my first post but I was wondering if anyone would be on their way through Ohio headed toward spring Carlisle next week? I need a model A bed picked up near Dayton just off of rt 70 and I would meet you in pa on rt 70, I would certainly reimburse you for your time and gas. Please let me know if you can help me out. Also if anyone would be heading to canfield from that area the following week I could meet you there as well.:D

Wow, Frankie, that WAS fast. It would have been better if you had taken the time to actually do a bit of an intro, and then gone to the HAMB to post your request, so that people could actually SEE it. There are at least one post on Canfield on the board that you might check. Umm, Welcome, I think.:p

I guess I should have done better intro...here goes, My name is Frank I lve about 40 miles west of Pittsburgh Im 32, married , 1 child he's six. I've been into cars and bike since I was about 5 when I got to ride in an 11sec '55 chevy thats also about the first time I saw "american grafiti" I was hooked. My first car was a '57 chevy that was an old gasser straight axle , glass flip front , 327 and a 4 gear. I had it ready for the street when I was 15 but I let a couple people talk me in to selling it because " I wouldn't be able to insure it or get it inspected" what a dumb ass!!!! I've had lots of cool stuff since and went through some phases like loewerd v-8 s-10s , sport bikes, 5.0 mustangs, '99 vette(only new car that I missed after it was gone) I 'm curently putting together a '30 model A p/u that was originaly a late '60's rod, it should be done in May. I also have a '36 chevy 2dr master sdn project, a '50 dodge 3 window project, a '55 chevy 2dr sdn its about done, '67 iron head chopper, '72 olds 442 Ive had since high school, '72 big block chevelle mostly a drag car but it is street legal. I have some other things that probably wouldn't intrest anyone here. I was an owner operator (trucker) for about eight years I had 5 trucks at one time. I also used to own a speed shop (EZ-Racing) for about two years and I had a crook/cokehead for a partner (I'm bitter...can you tell:( ). I still have a Kenworth but I have been doing paint/collision work out of my own shop (First Line Finishes) since '01. Thats about all I can tell you ....(I know ... Thank god:rolleyes: )

Now that's an intro! Well done & welcome to the HAMB. That's quite a list of iron you've been thru. I know how you feel, I was talked into selling my almost finished '34 5-window coupe a matter of weeks before getting my licence. Bummer! At least I got $60 for it!!!! Before y'all rush me, that was nearly 40 years ago. Still a bummer though.

All you have to do to stay out of the rain is follow close by me. I've been lucky in the 18 years I've gone most of the time it rains on my my out , then it gets hot ,humid, and sucky all day then it pours for the 161 mile trip back home.
