The grille's all polished and installed, ditto the '56 Olds rims.
The bumper's gonna take up to 3 months to get back from the platers. It's shaved.
Tell me what you tink, be honest.

  2. That sled looks great, man!

Are ya gonna lower it more or bag it? I love those slammed.

    Great job, Nads.

  3. Nads that car rocks!. I love the rounded corners on the hood and how the grille surround curves to match the grille. Ya did good!

  4. I think that grille looks awesome. Other than stock, that is the only way to go. The front looks just mean, like its gonna bite you in the ***!

  5. That's a fine lookin' Chebby car you've got there, Nads. The front end treatment looks killer. Should be lookin' good with the bumper back on it. As was already said, it would look great if it were lowered a bit more.

It needs lowering desperately, it already is but what I really need is dropped spindles. I can't afford airbags just yet.
    More pics coming soon.

grille. That there is a bullet tire valve stem that can be changed as the mood strikes me.
The grille surround was made with 1" electrical conduit and sheet metal.
The back bumper's a shaved and narrowed '56 Chevy wagon unit. It was a three piece that I laboriously welded into a one piece.

Nads, WOW the close up really shows a different color. On my computer it has a Barne purple look from a distance.. . you going to lower it anymore? I am a firm believe in tucking the top of the white wall. Do we need to do a Tech thread for you on how to keep a painted car cleaned and waxed?

  20. Nads i love it. Ill be completely honest, that car needs skirts. With backhalf done up like that, it needs to be more flowing.

    Grills kick ***..

Looks great, you already know it needs to be lowered. It seems like the wheels and tires look too small. They're not 15", are they? They just seem a little small, like those old lowriders with the 13" daytons.

Nads, I'll be honest. I really like the Chevy. I really like the paint. I really DONT like the flames but I remember you had a problem spot so you had to cover it up with the flames. Am I right?

i'd MAYBE lower the car another inch all around if anything, put on some bigger wide whites (they DO look like lowrider wheels) and i'd add some skirts, lakes and MAYBE some spots and be done with it (real or dummies, you decide)

speedadict, I'm not too keen on the flames myself but I've gotta think of a solution to make this ****** car cohesive.
The whole project was a clustereff from the get-go and I'm hoping I can pull it all together but I probably can't.

It's not my pal Sean's fault, who painted the car, and it's not mine either, all I can blame it on is the fact that modern materials are really complex. There will be a next time.

    Thanks for your honesty.
