originals....pretty good shape.....how would these look on a 292 in my '58 f100...??? out of place or knida...cool
I p***ed on a pair of decent original ones for 250. The repros are nice, and unless you're building a T-bird, they'll work for ya'. You may also look into Moon or Offy rocker covers (IMO I think they look better, but different strokes.).
Oh and i am HOT on the trail of another '57 supercharger(waiting on details)...that might go pretty good with T-bird covers than????right
RED bird? Every one I have seen are turquoise. I think I paid 275 for the original pair I got last year.
OGs are tough to find for much less than 250-300 around here. last set i saw, the guy wanted 4 bills. ouch. i think they look great. i like the offys too, but i have a soft spot for the 'bird covers. and i think they'd look awesome under the hood of an effie. i'd do it for sure.
The orignals are really one of the coolest ever, I see them sell for pretty strong bucks. My Dad had a nice 57 with them on and I was so taken by them. They are surely in the most desired of any finned and styled covers ever. Y-blocks rock!! ~sololobo~
Never seen red?? I can tell you originals have a lot better detail in the bird casting. I got one original and one repop...bugs the **** out of me.
If the 'bird on the V/Cs you're looking at is red...take a better look. All T-bird emblems had a 'turquoise blue' bird...even on the exterior trim. I had a low-riser tri-power setup years ago off of a T-bird with the factory oval air filter housing - T-bird emblem and it was blue. dj
