I found this pair of appleton electric fog lights in my 99 year old aunts garage after she p***ed. they work too! the model is 45-a they are 6 and a half inches. looks like they are a bumper bracket mount. i was wondering if anyone new the era of the light... any info would be cool thanks hambers!

  2. Either a mid to late 30s or a 1940s item, I'd say.
With those brackets, possibly used before the advent of gravel
    shields behind the bumpers.

I had some of those on a stock '46 Ford in 1966. I don't know if it came with them new but I was the 3rd owner. We have hella thick "tule" fog in the valley every winter. It had gravel shields too. It had push bars on the front bumper and a spotlight on the driver side that came with it. That stuff was junked pretty soon after I got the car. If I had known 44 years later people would think that stuff was cool of would be a hit at an "auto swap meet" I would have hung on to it.

If I had something decent to put it on, it would be on it, but in the meantime I would put them up to enjoy. clarified. :)

*****in. Love old fog lights. A guy in my club just gave me a killer BLC 5 3/4" fog that's never been on a car.

Ya, those should be on a car not sitting on a shelf. Having two lets you have the option of running one or two.
