    Hi guys
I have read all the oil filter stuff about flatheads. Full flow mods , running with no filter etc.
But all I want to do is run the standard head mounted canister on the head with the standard 10% by p*** filter.
Does any one know where I can buy a new filter cartridge ????

I think Fram has one that fit!?
Last time i bought one, i ended up with another brand(Canadian), that had a paper insert that fit. Sorry don't recall the name.

local napa should be able to get them for you, or carquest if you have one near you.

  4. Wix has them, that's what I use on mine.

No luck guys. The Fram #C4 is the same type of cartridge as mine but is to small.
The filter I need is 7.5" tall & 4.25" dia . See the canister on the right hand head

Try Wix. Better filter anyway. Is there a # on your old filter?

That is not a Ford filter. Pull the filter and look for a brand and a number on the filter. Armed with that info, a good parts store should be able to match it up with their brand and pt no.

Look at a cartridge filter for a Chevrolet. They are a tad over 4 inches in diamter and just over five inches tall and that would leave room for the spring.

About all I can say other than that is to go to a NAPA or a store that sells Wix and get in their filter catalog as it will show the dimensions of the filters.
If you have the old filter so much the better even if it doesn't have any numbers on it.
