  4. No TV on the ranch. Anyone know if it can be seen online or what radio networks are covering it?

  5. Happy Birthday to the Indy 500, truly the all American automotive event. On my bucket list for sure. RIP Sid Collins

Tough to get interested these days with very few local oval track racers able to work their way up the ranks. Canadian on the pole and another one, Hinchcliff starting 15th or so makes it interesting for me. Davey Hamilton, very talented supermodified driver from California has a good starting spot this year and I wish him well.

I think I would have liked to go the the Little 500 in Anderson, Indiana better. Rained out the other night I think it goes tonight. 33 pavement sprint cars doing 500 laps on a 1/4 paved track, too much!!

Hope the 100th edition is a safe one.

  10. Unless I missed it, there was very little mentioned about the 100th Anniversary of the race

Anyone aware of ESPN or SPEED doing a special on the history of Indy? (Perhaps something was broadcast earlier in the week?)

  11. I used to listen to it on the radio with my Dad back in the 50's, then went to see it on the big screen at the local town theater then LA Sports Arena in the 70's, 1986 my oldest son and flew to Indy for qualifing, stayed there one week, lots of racing all around Indianapois, 1991 I went back for the race, it's a awesome place and a MOST SEE for all car guys! YES I'll be watching the 500 mile race from the comfort of my living room....Ill miss the 500,000 at the speedway!

  12. Just another one of my bad habits, YES.

Wish I could, but I promised a friend I'd have his competition exhaust finished by late today on his classic... Let us who can't watch it know how it goes! =)

If we were talking about watching golf on TV, yeah that would be boring. :) Bathurst is cool, so is Indy...they're just different kinds of racing.

Yeah, I'm just having some fun. Bathurst is almost as big as ANZAC Day here, though I do miss the old days with all the different makes and car sizes.
