Hi, I have a remote soliniod on my 34 ford and bought a new mini starter for my 302 ford and it came with a soliniod on it and need to know how I should wire it to run the remote soliniod still? I want to use the remote one because all my wiring going to it would need to be lengthened and I do not want to do that, so I was wondering if I can just run the signal wire from the remote soliniod to the soliniod on the starter? Thanks for the info.

I think you can run it by just putting a copper strap between the Batt stud on the solenoid and the Start stud. That is what they do when they do the Ford solenoid conversions on regular Delco starters. Then it works off the Ford solenoid with no extra wires.

http://www.maliburacing.com/starter_solenoid.html His directions are correct but his drawing is misleading on the starter.

I need to do that on my daily driver pickup as I am having hot start problems with it.

I was going to run the cable from the soliniod to the starter like it would normally be but just did not know if the soliniod on the starter would kick in the starter drive with out signal from the remote soliniod. Thanks

As long as you put a jumper from the + terminal on the starter to the S terminal on the solenoid on the starter so it will pull the drive in.
