9 inch rear / vent tube

how does the vent work on a 9in Ford rear housing /does it have a hole in it or is it some type of check valve, mine does not work tks Butch

 

Just a hole thu it run a piece of wire through yours.

I think I ran a 1/16th drill bit through mine blocked with mud and small stones

 

The factory ususally puts a lenght of rubber line on these vents and routes or loops them up into the frame. Helps keep trash and water out of the rearend.

 

very easy to add the rubber hose to the vent
