I was at picknpull is St. Louis and behind the fence there was a 50's packard! It had the top cut off but it was sitting on the car, It appeared to have the origional drivetrain and seemed to be in decient condition. Like I said it was behind the fence so not sure what the deal is with it but somebody needs to go save it.

I found a 49 Packard in an old junkyard a couple years ago, lots of great parts were inside it buried under the trash that nobody else evidently felt like dragging out of it.
At the pick-a-part in INDY, there is a 65 Catalina, 4dr I believe, if anybody is looking for pieces and parts. Had a real nice dash in it if I remember right. That was about all the old stuff last weekend except for some 70-71 Cads.

Yesterday at our local Pull-A-Part there was a 59 Ford and a 64 Mercury, both complete 2 Door hardtops. Both looked very restorable, can't imagine they wern't worth more then the yard paid for them. Once they hit the yard they won't sell it complete, parts only. sad

I was at the local u-pull-it looking thru the trucks (for parts for my o/t Dodge truck) and there was a freakin' '56 Chevy stepside nestled in with the late model chevys and fords. it was fairly rough but still didn't belong in a junkyard!

Our local "pick-a-part" or whatever they call it has many times had cars of the 50s and 60s of interest to hotrodders or restorers but choose to part them out rather than sell them whole. I'd bet they really don't make as much from them as they think they will.

Interesting story at our Pullapart recently..A Rolls Royce,67 model,I believe, was stolen somewhere around Knoxville, sold to Pullapart, and put in the yard!! The story is it was stolen on April 23rd,and "found" on May 8th in their yard.
The "guardian" of the car is advertising on Craigslist to buy back the pieces missing off of the car, apparently a helluva lot of stuff was removed and sold by PAP.
I'm really curious now....Do they buy cars without ***les? A ****ing Rolls Royce?? Did PAP think it odd that somebody drug it into their yard and sold it for s**** price?
I saw the car the last time I was there. This was after it was "found",but they had it impounded in the fenced in part of the yard, looking pretty damned stripped...
I don't give a **** about those cars, but damn....wondering if PAP will get their *** kicked over this one...
