Went last weekend to the Yearly Pismo beach trailer rally. It was a fantastic event. There were 280 vintage trailers. I took my 49 airfloat out for the weekend. It got quite a lot if attention. I took pix of the most exceptional trailers there. Enjoy...

Here I am getting har***ed by a "fake" game warden for having taxidermy bobcats. Practical joke from my friends,... Haha,..., not funny. Lol

Cool trailers. Did you get a better picture of that 59 Pontiac wagon tow car?

A nice Pierce-Arrow Travelodge there too, I see. Funny thing about those. Once upon a time in Houston I had a fellow employee who had been trying not to buy one down at Seabrook/Kemah TX nearby for several years. We'd seen pictures of it, a one-owner piece sitting under a shed and heard him tell us about it for so long without EVER making the good folks an offer.
One day a guy came in to the counter and was showing me pictures of an old travel trailer he had just bought...it was a Pierce-Arrow Travelodge! Shortly after he left I called my friend and told him his trailer was gone. He couldn't believe it, jumped in his car, drove to the location...the trailer was still there! He walked right up to the door, struck a deal and owned a trailer he had been considering his own for more than 5 years without owning it. Hauled it home the following weekend and to my knowledge still has it. Sure scared him though.
Imagine. 2, not 1, but 2, Pierce-Arrow Travelodge trailers within 30 or so miles of each other in one area for all these years and never getting sold until the same time.

2nd from the bottom is a 36 Airstream Clipper, last one is a early 60's Holiday house I believe.

I wondered where all those vintage trailers were going. Saw some everyday coming home from work.

What a bunch of super sweet travel homes. Pismo Beach is such a great area as well. Love the fake game warden bust. the table and chair set the stuffed bobcats are on is *** kickin also. The 59 Pontiac, the Lincoln Capri and the Hudson Jet were all awesome pulling rigs, outstanding! Thanx for the cool coverage. ~sololobo~
