sway bar question

    I,m not sure where to post this question so I,ll post it here and let you move it as necessary. I was wondering if it is possible to cut a swaybar and weld it back together again? I put a m2 front on my Falcon and found the stock m2 bar bends way too low in front of the car. there is a bar made but I was wondering if i could save a couple o bucks

    Nope, sway bar is spring steel,you can weld it and it will break.

    Did you try fliping it over to see if that makes a difference?

    To weld and heat treat would cost more than the price of an after-market bar. Some things are not meant to be welded. Find a bar that fits and be safe.

    Don't do it. It will break. Call or e-mail Bob at Addco and he will make you one like you want very reasonably. I think I paid like $200 for a custom bar, including the hardware.
