They will both take you on one hellofa journey! The 1946 Ford Tudor that I will be restoring, I'm purchasing from the widow of a gentleman I met two years ago. He and my wife were going through treatment at the same time. Great guy, retired from the Air Force a long time ago. Found out he had a brain tumor... another victim of Agent Orange. Anyway, my wife recovered and I kept in contact with the widow... not for the car, but because I could understand where she was at mentally. I ran that scenario through my head several times for myself... Anyway, two years later and it's time for the car to be brought back to life. I plan to keep it as stock as possible... going flathead and original drivetrain vice updating the motor and ******. I've seen a few lowered with stock suspension/ch***is, so I'll be asking for guidance on that as well. Still debating the 6 or 12V conversion. No need for speed, just reliability and comfort (a/c will be installed...somehow). Ultimately, this car will become a shuttle for cancer patients in the San Antonio, TX area when family members are told that they are missing too much work and cannot afford to take off more time. That seemed to be a big issue I noticed during the journey. If you've been on a journey, with old cars or with cancer, then you already know that prayer works. And you've also learned that what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. I look forward to receiving your guidance and instruction on my journey. I will offer my missteps during the journey for folly and for encouragement for everyone to not be afraid to make mistakes and or to learn from my mistakes. Each one, teach one. Thanks for your time. My name is Dante.
Dante welcome from Florida. Sounds like you have been through a lot and made it!!!!!!!!!!! That agent orange stuff really was bad news and it screwed up a lot of good people. Someone told me years ago that it's not how many times you get knocked down that count. It's how many times you get back up and keep fighting that really count in life. I hope that your project turns out to be a fun journey for you.
