Ok have had my banger 29 Rpu for about a year now. I only drive it on the streets locally never freeways and haven't put belts in it yet. I have a new pair of lap belts from Reid's auto parts.

Any pics or mounting techniques to safely install them. I drive my friends and gf around and with recent news of roadster fatalities and die if I ever hurt a loved one.

On my 48 I put a length of something like 1/4 x 2-1/2 flat bar on each side under the floorboard for the seat belt bolts to go through. One bolt on each end. The only reason for picking that size was it was what was in the metal rack at the time. We figured that would spread the pull on the bolts over a large area and not concentrate it in a few small spots.
I know that not all of us like roll bars on our roadsters but it might be a consideration to build a hoop in under the panel behind the seats and run braces back to the rear to strengthen the back end of the car if that would work. Something to keep the rear of the car from folding up if it gets hit.
