Anyone have any other photos or info on this 64 grand prix kustom? Or any other 63-64 kustom pontiacs for that matter.
I own this 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix. It now has a "Watson" style paint job done by Art Himsl who originally painted it.
Sweet Pontiac. And I'm glad I looked at your profile to see the album, because I came across your(?) beautiful '57 Buick. You have good taste.
That is lookin' nice. I think this might be the first car I've seen that really pulls off the frenched quad headlights like that. Very well done.
Wow that car is beautiful, the paint is super nice. You need to add that to the cl***y customs thread. What are those wheels/caps?
That is a nicely done car. Tons of things done to it but nothing that looks out of place with the rest of it and the paint job really adds to the whole package rather than dominate it. The more you look the more you see.
I believe Frank De Rosa hasd an influence in the build as well. John has worked with Frank Sr & Jr on many projects. The flare on the lower rocker panels is pretty much a De Rosa Kustom trademark. You'll see that on many of the Dagnistino and Zocchi cars of that time frame.
John Aiello is a good customizer and a hell of a nice guy. John would stop what he was doing to give me pointers and help me figure out the chop on my brothers 56 New Yorker. I used to go hang out over at Acme when John and Darrel had it going back in the late 90's. Darrel was a nice guy too. I have some pictures of a few Zochi and Diagistino cars under construction. I will try to dig them up and post them on here. Did Bob Devine do the interior? My brother had his interior done by Bob himself out of his house in Antioch years ago. He did a great job and was cheap too.
