48 chevy 1 ton v 1/2 ton

I have a simple question for the right guys. A buddy of mine is working on a shop truck and needs to know is all the sheet metal from the cab forward on a 1 ton the same as a 1/2 ton truck ?

 

The fenders have a larger wheel opening on the big trucks.
Don't know about the grille ***embly.

 

grill is different also

Glad you asked, too late for me, I found out the grill wouldnt fit till after chrome plating!

 

...the front sheetmetal from a Chevy one ton is the same as a 1/2 ton; you must have stuff from a larger truck. Trucks larger than one tonners do have bigger fender openings, flatter hoods and grille bar spacing is a bit bigger.

 

grill bars are the same...you could find a grill from a smaller truck and swap your chrome grill bars.......whid

 

One ton is the same. My truck is a one ton, check out my album for pics. If you go larger than one ton then the fenders hood and grille are different.
