really nice . It's great to see that the era of purposely garbaged out customs and hack job hot rods is on the way out .

You're probably thinking of Dave York's shoebox ford, which is actually Canadian. Same color, similar grille, front end. etc.

I only speculate because It threw me for a second too...

  12. That's Paul Bragg's Merc.

I was looking forward to seeing your wagon in person....it did not disappoint! Very clean.

Ha! No unicorn this year either. My buddy, John, said that the current owner decided not to bring it at the last minute.

Yep....and in a tinted clearcoat last year. That's one of the things I love about this show...over the years, you get to watch the cars progress. A lot of us build these things in our garages, in our spare time, or whatever...so they take time.

And to address the earlier question about paint....I can count at least a dozen cars that had been painted or repainted just for this show. ****....Cepeda's El Camino was repainted and rechopped! Not to mention all work on the decklid and what used to be the tailgate...

Quality may be up, or it may be perception based on the photos....I like to take pics of nice cars.

Your LaSalle is coming along nicely...the chop kicks ***!

I think you had a good reason for missing the show ;) Hope all's well.

That's an Australian plate, isn't it? Shipped over just for the show?

Okay....tell me what all,Paul did to his El Camino? Looks like he welded up the tailgate, made a tonneau cover out of a trunk lid,or something, and painted it! Did I miss anything? He's the craziest guy....always thinking over the top! WOW!!!!

Chrome dash too. I was parked behind him and watched people tripping on it all day. "Is it a wagon?", "Is it a car or truck, or both?" That thing was mobbed all day. Definately grabbed you by the balls.
