Hey Folks, Glad to be here on the H.A.M.B, I dig early model Plymouth's, Aussie Valiant's and of course 30's Fords. In my spare time I paint: check em at http://www.bakaxe.com. I don't have wheels right now, but always on the look out. Thanks for having me.. Bakaxe
welcome from New Zealand.I really dig your art.Stick around as there some really great artists here,,Deadbeat
It may be easier to get across... BTW, you can do some amazing things with those old sloper sixes, so keep an eye out for a nice S-series, AP5 or 6 Valley-Ant to build. Longroofs and utes of the latter models are pretty cool. (I don't think the S-models were sold as wagons in Aussie; anybody know?)
I think the AP series had wagons, too. They're all great cars (although my experience has mostly been with the US models).
The art work is great. You have a real god given talent and I like the feel of the designs. The designs are nice and clean. Do you do any of your work using graphics software first? Do you also do stipping and air brush work? Jimbo
Hey Jimbo, I hand draw the image onto board with pencil as a guide, then painstakingly paint the neatest I can. I usually create a vector version of the piece afterwards for my website, as I find it super hard to get a good photograph. I have a can of one shot black at home with a brush i borrowed off a friend, just need to find the time to give the striping a go. Cheers Bakaxe
