The reason I picked up my Coupe was because of the stock roofline and had no plans for a top drop as well, but after looking at mild (3") chops, I'm starting to come around. More pics that I've stolen...I can't remember where I've snagged all of these, so apologies to the photographers for not giving credit. I do know that more than a couple of these are from Bryan Rusk.
very nice profile on that one. "3' Chop" ... is that 3" from the post? that's how I would measure. some day I hope to do a 2' or 3' out of the post chop on my 49. I like slanty posts though. sadly, he'll never get into Ol' Skool Rodz with only 3" cut out.
Its in "Ol' Skool Rodz" It's in the March 2011 issue #44 The ONLY reason I bought that mag was for that Coupe! I dig how it only has the mild chop and EVERYTHING else is stock.
That's funny! Turns out Ol Skool Rodz is EXACTLY where that car showed up. Thanks Old Soul, just sitting on the fence and exploring my options. So far I've got one "DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!", and one "DON'T DOOOOO EET!". Ha ha! I hate to sound like a snob, but since this is the HAMB...I haven't even opened one of those up on the newsstand in ages. Thanks for fessing up though, I appreciate it.
Here's another 3" chopped Coupe. Originally built in California, now in Switzerland. This one's rear window has been flipped and rain gutters removed. Looks like maybe the rear has more taken out of it than the front. Still a pretty mild chop job.
Heres another shot of that Coupe...Other than the rear window being flipped it has a real nice profile!
