Awhile back there was a thread about shaving bias ply tires so they ride better. Well I was at the alignment shop I use and noticed they have a tire shaver. I asked the owner about it and yes he does shave tires in place on the vehicle. The shop is American Frame and alignment in Kent. The number is 253-854-2311 I didn't get a price yet but I am going back monday to get the alignment done on my 59 Ford. Eric
That's great info, Eric. I'd about given up finding this service in the Seattle / Tacoma area, as everyone I knew who had these machines has long since closed up shop. Is this outfits machine a lathe style that directly mounts the tire and wheel ***embly to the machine, or a roll-up portable that cuts the tread with the wheel mounted to the vehicle?
