My Dad drove the 36 there, and I still have the dash plaque and pin from the 72 Nats.

    I even have a T shirt.

I think he had some pics somewhere as well.

  4. I was at the Nats in Detroit in 1972. Some of those pictures look like they are in Detroit. The forerunner of the Nats North was called Street Meet North and started a few yeasr later.

I think Cotton recently had a gl*** 5-window '32 built by a guy named Jim down around Peotone or Manteno. Jim had a modified kit business 6 or 7 years ago. Cotton has got to be older than dirt by now. He was always on the cutting edge in those days.

Any pics of a yellow full fendered 31 A coupe with craiger SS mags? My dad was there with his car in '73-74. He made the ride from north jersey with some other local rodders. They all brought some dinamite cars. How about a '40 panel that said "ricks modern antiques" on the door?

I have some pictures myself, but it'd be neat to see others pictures of our pals cars from back then.

BTW I recognize some of those from my dad's pictures! The orange hemi powered T roadster my dad has a picture of the guy driving it down the road and giving the camera the finger

btw he still has the A

  6. You mean Rick Talbot's car?

BTW, the Street Rod Nats were in Tulsa in 73 and St Paul in 74.

If I'm not mistaken, "Popular Hot Rodding" magazine was the en***y that sponsored the meet in Ann Arbor. Of course, as I've said previously, I'm old and memory is one of the things that seems to be fading on me!

If you see a black 32 ford tudor c-dan, chrome cragars, high in the front, bobbed rear fenders and a blown small block PLEASE post a pic or send me a pic of it. Its my car. It was there, Ive seen a pic of it there but I was not able to get the pic. Thanks.

Yes it was Corvair powered. Also I think it was the big winner one year.
    Do you remember that?
