Made an offer on this car in March and the guy turned it down. He called me yesterday and we struck a deal. Car runs and drives with original drive train and brakes. Only change I can see so far are the 16" '35 Ford wire wheels and tires. Still has mohair seat. Must of been a rumble seat car at one time and still has the lower cushion in the trunk. Needs a couple cowl patch panels and every fender has a several dings/dents/creases. All good gl***, doors are excellent as is hood and trunk lid. Pretty much a "stocker". Got the ***le with it too. Not sure what the plans for it are right now so will let it sit in the garage while I ponder that.
Beautiful looking coupe!!! I say enjoy it however you want. No car is "too nice to cut up." My coupe used to be a trunk car and someone changed it to a rumble, yours used to be a rumble and someone changed it to a trunk.... People are never happy!!
I say "Make a street rod and give Me all that restoration junk!!" I have a 31 coupe,,,,,Stock, Don't laugh I'm a Street rodder at heart!
While you are thinking what to do with it be sure to spend equal time here and in the Model A section of fordbarn.com. Charlie Stephens
For now, just drive the **** out of it! Take the time to work out what you truly want to do to the car. The Chrismans rear engined car is nice............ Hint hint. Doc.
Let it be, drive the **** out of it. Hell, I know guys that are spending tons of money to get the look you have. Most important have fun!
