Specialized market, very low turn-over. These are brake parts for 60-70 year old vehicles. Good USA made pieces are going to run at least $40 each or a bit more. Off-shore junk a bit less, but not for this guy. These are your brakes were talkin' about. A very important system, so I feel $40 is actually quite reasonable for these parts. At least you can still get them!

Macsautoparts.com has US pieces available for $43. They're in New York. Speedway's are $49 each, but are s/s sleeved. Don't know where they have them made however.

Yeah, everything is going up- except wages! Mac's 2011-12 catalog shows them at $42.95. On line info shows $49.95 now. I know I paid over $40 for them a couple of years ago, so this is not unexpected. Just remember, if people stop buying the US pieces due to cost, you'll soon only have Chinese pieces available. In fact, I think I'll order a full set from Mac's before that happens, or the price jumps again, so I'll have them available if/when I need another set.

I checked with NAPA on these a few weeks ago. They're price was $69 each retail. Even with my fleet discount, they were still over $55. And they weren't sure where they were manufactured, possibly Mexico.
