Dumb question, but someone here knows the answer. Shooting some tins for a friend and had him pick up the paint. He got PPG shopline basecoat. On the can it says its a 1:1 mix. I've never shot it before and the paint dummy in me wonders do I need a reducer or activator? I've got a handfull of generic reducers and hardners out in the shop, if I knew what I needed I could maybe see if mine are compatable and get this shot today. If not I'll call the paint shop tomorrow. Thanks
since the Subject is PPG....I need a quart or a pint of DBU 80900 for my 53 Coupe Deville, they've evidently quit mixing DBU in Northern Nevada...anybody got some?
Thanks guys I'll check what I have. Some of it is already PPG, if its not compatable I'll pick up new.
Careful reducers can and will go bad. if you have some that is compatable mix a small amout up with paint, stir and if you have jello after a few minutes. The reducers is bad, you may already know that though
