The first pic is just after the front and rear suspension was done. Front is a fatman II. The rear is his own 4 link design. All bagged. Got the motor and tranny in. Brakes are on Steering column is in (Sorry it is billet, but will be painted to hide it.) All pedals are hung ( Also billet) Steering wheel on. Lokar shifter in. Firewall shaved. Gas door shaved. Car is getting close to be driven. Once he is happy with all the set-ups, the car will be disassembled and frame painted.
bichin THIS is a nice shoebox BTW... those rear bags... are those from a kit or??? reason i ask is they look hella like bags from a airliner suspension off a late model freightliner.
I wondered what was going on with this. Something about the stance of it w/ the unchopped roof makes it cool. Is he going to leave it rough or paint it? I ask because I think if the car was painted it has a chance to be a VERY recognized car.
Fiddyfour- I will check with him to see what bags they are. I pretty sure him bought them seperatly. Tony Bones- He wants to paint the car in a candy burnt orange.
Spanks man,,, lookin forward to hearing... Candy burnt orange. . . THATS gonna look hot on that shoebox! i kin dig it
I love the stance! Nothing like a laid out shoe box. Where abouts in Saugus are ya? I just moved to Canyon County off Sierra Hwy.
His name is Jeff Pelton. He lives in Thousand Oaks, CA. He's been working on this for about 5 years now. Unfortunely his job keeps him from working on it all the time. But, he at least wants it runnable for the Rat Fink reunion in June.
That rules. I saw pics of this car on here a while ago and thought to myself, 'man I'd love to get a shoebox with that same stance and paint it a copper or a burnt orange'. I've had that idea stuck in my head ever since. It should look bitchin', but I'm still pissed that he took my friggin' idea for the color.
