Whats goin on with them? Are they goin out of business? I ordered some stuff a few weeks ago and was not satisfied. I have been trying since last week to get a hold of them to arrange a return. Every number they have either has a busy signal right away or rings and then goes to a busy signal. I was thinking about trying to fax them tomorrow as a last resort because there is no e mail contact as far as I know. When I called and ordered the stuff it seemed to be a mom and pop type set up from the man and woman I spoke to. Any info would help or Im eatin the whole deal. Thanks, Joey
I dont have much for you but it def was a man and woman...as I recall service was a bit slow but the product was low priced and did the job for me.
I had no trouble contacting them for the order at the end of April and it shipped fairly quickly. The parts fit terrible and I can make nicer pieces. I thought maybe I would save some labor time in buying the pieces because they were simple looking but its not worth it for the money spent on them then totally re work them. Its not like they just need a little t******* or slight tweaking, its just way over sized and 130 dollars buys two 5x8 sheets of 18 gauge that I can make tons of parts out of. So I dont know if they bailed because they thought the world was ending or if they just went under and i had just gotten my order in before it happened because its almost like they just have the phones off the hook so no one can get through.
Ron , is having some problems right now, keep calling, i will relay the message with a friend of mine, I will try to get you some more info.
Yah, Ron is a good man. Ive know him personlly, my dad went to school with him. hell make it right if your not satisfied.
Thanks for the replies. I thought could have been somethin bad too but just doesnt make any sense that there is absolutely no answering machine or anything to even leave a message for someone to get back to you. Thanks magoozi hopefully thatll help. You seem to know everyone. And Im not tryin to bash the guy. Him and his wife were very nice when I ordered and I was almost just gonna keep the stuff because I dont like to return things but I just have absolutely no use for the stuff and the money could be used in plenty of more important places. Thanks again for the help and Ill be checkin here to see any new info. Joey
Any more publicized news on this? Still a constant busy signal. Hope no one has p***ed or anything just tryin to figure out whats goin on.
Another local SoCal company that moved to AZ to escape the high taxes and anti-business environment here. Ron used to work with Dave at Direct Sheetmetal, also here in El Cajon. If you can't get satisfaction at *****in give Direct Sheetmetal a call.
RE: *****IN PRODUCTS I am in am the same corner as "slammed 58 chevy". I placed an internet order about 3 weeks ago and have not recieved the order. No one answers their tech line, or order desk phone. I am ready to go elsewhere, but I need to cancel this order. Does anybody know how to contact these folks? I don't need a second floorboard kit floating in after ordering it from another company. I have no complaints about their quality products, they just have lousy communication. I hope there hasn't been some sort of family trajedy to be causing this issue. I live in Arizona and the order should have been here in two or three days. Anybody know what is going on?
From the website *****in Products, Inc. · 2604 Constellation Way · Prescott, AZ 86301 Strange world, I used to live in El Cajon, which was their old location. I moved here and now they are here too. Anyway, I can swing by the address above tomorrow if you want and stick my head in the door. It's on the SE edge of the airport, close to the place that powder coated my 47 wheels. PM me or let me know here if you want.
Yea that would be cool if you could check it out. I doubt I would get my stuff returned now but it would be nice to figure out what happened there.
I had a call from one of my USA suppliers (I am in Australia) to tell me he could not get a firewall for me as *****in were closing up. Some of their products will be available from EMS I think? this could be incorrect, but he did ring me at 11pm USA time to catch me at work and he is a straight up guy I have been dealing with for a few years I wish I could say the same thing about Gennie Shifter owners..........
I used their product a few weeks ago and would NEVER do it again. The instructions alone looked like they were photocopies of photocopies a few times over. Not legible at all. I will never use them again.
I had Ron Batson make the firewall that's in my 34 (avatar). I installed it and fabbed my own floor then brought the coupe down to him to cut/chop. Guess he closed up shop some years back?
It's a shame I turned my shop over and son does not want to do it any more. Not his cup of tea. It made a good living for our family. Life goes on. sorry for your bad product.I'd bet if the old man was arround he would fix it.
ems is a distributor of *****en products and we make alot of our stuff similar to their design. ron the owner of *****en prodcuts is a friend of mine. ron is 79 years old, there are some family problems they are having, it was supposed to be over with by now, but is taking longer than thought. i am not allowed to give out his home phone, but ems will accept messages for *****en products. i can not give refunds or accept return merchandise bought directly from *****en, but i will make a list for them. and p*** along your issue and get a message back to you when i can. just please do not get angry with my customer service folks you can call with all your info 216-541-4585 ask for bob or "the ems guy" (when i am there) if you can fax your problem tis would be best fax#216-541-4989 "the ems guy"
I drove down there and stupid me I forgot to bring the address. Couldn't find it. Hopefully EMS will be able to handle this for you guys. If not, let me know and I'll go again, armed with the location!
Sounds good guys thanks for the info. Im pretty sure Im eatin my stuff. I dont know if itll be worth the h***le especially because there are family problems so I wont ad insult to injury there. But hopefully all of those with unfilled orders will get their money back.
I'll call Buck again, I know he has been helping Ron out, but I hav'ent been able to get a hold of him.
Ron is a good friend of my old boss. We had a great trade a few years back that was mutually beneficial. Sorry to hear he is not doing well.
Sorry to hear Ron isn't doing well...I know both Ron and Dave from Direct Sheetmetal...Dave's a good dude and puts out a nice product
