First off, the shots of the Antique Doll remind me of the old UFRA circuit where up to a dozen flat head powered FED would compete. As for the Mancillas Bros twin turbo flattie, I had the pleasure of meeting one of the brothers at a local greasy spoon, where they had their roadster parked out front. I inquired of the twin dragster and they said it never made a pass. In 1971 , it pulled to the line at OCIR, blew the fly wheel and forever afterward parked in the garage.

 

I chatted with your lovely mom a bit, nice family. The day went by too quickly I didn't get a chance to talk to many people.

My best RT was .010
My best ET was 13.60
Best Speed was 100.47 which was on a 13.77 run.
Best time before this weekend was 14.10 so very happy

Non-stick street tires were making me ease into the throttle at the light or go sideways. Dawn in the grey roadster beat me second round after I spun the tires at the light.

(Glad I didn't get kicked off the track for going faster than 13.99)

 

Damn I can't believe I didn't rally up there for this.

Great pictures, thanks for posting. I wish I lived closer to an event like this. Great Lakes Dragaway near my home has their Nostalgic Races this weekend, but I'm guessing the caliber of the cars will not be as good.
