I've got a newer big block chevy (Casting #10069286), it's from a newer chevy truck. The plan is to put it in a 1956 chevy, but dont want to run a computer. Can i just switch the intake and run it with a carb? Or is there more to it than just that? Any and all help is appreciated!

Shouldnt be a problem adding a carb and go . Just as long as you have air, spark and fuel the engine doesnt care how it does it.

Watch out for things like heat crossover p***ages, distributor gears, fuel pumps, flexplate/flywheels, etc. There have been some changes over the years.
