The Quarries on Isherwood would be cool as Hell..That was my playground growing up before they made it an actual park...:)

I forgot all about the Quarries. That place is cool and plenty of room also.

We had a few company picnics there a while back.

quarry lakes is pretty cool. back in my Schwinn Stingray days we used to ride our bikes out there. of course it was just a quarry, no lakes. then go over to the "slime slide" on Alameda creek. there was a dam, and the other side was a gradual slope, covered in slimy moss. you could slide down the slime and splash into the creek. when you got home you were green from head to toe.

now if you went into the creek you would get arrested.

the good old days, when kids left the house at 9:00 A.M and rode all over town and didn't come back until dinnertime. when empty lots were prime areas to do whatever you wanted.

We did the same thing in the 80's! I remember a kid got killed out there about 1987, hit his head and drowned.I grew up around Shinn Park, the Quarries were our backyard..rode dirt bikes and mini bikes back there.any many other things I wont mention on here...lol:eek::D

the first ever HAMBBQ was done up in the bay area. Well Livermore but still. Can't remember the park name. I still have the award somewhere for driving the longest distance to that one.

Was it the Rodeo Grounds? I went to one of the early Billetproof shows there.

Yeah! Quarries in Fremont! Cruise in, BBQ, and relax. Simple. It doesn't get too crowded usually either. Also has tons of parking, and the benches/bbq pits aren't too far removed from parking. Let's do this Gooz! :)

Point Richmond has a bitchin little park, there is a neat model Train museum out there, it is also right on the bay. Easy parking for 1 to 250 cars, free and the weather is nice. Plus downtown Point Richmond is pretty cool too. PS...when you get off the freeway, head towards the water, if not, you end up in a piece of realestate that makes Watts look warm and cozy.

check it at John T. Knox shore line/ Kellers Beach state park/Point Richmond, ca

Fremont would be cool, I'll have to check the dates and see what the people in our club are up too that day. I would imagine Saturdays are easier for most people. Sounds like fun guys!

Quarry Lakes address is 2100 Isherwood Way Fremont, CA 94536

Gooz, I'll bring a small folding table that can fit in my car, a couple chairs, my charcoal bbq and my EZ up. There are picnic benches and bbq pits, but they are kind of spread out from each other, so extra chairs would probably be a good idea.
