  4. The easiest way, for me anyway, is to start a photo sharing account on a site like Photobucket and then you just copy and paste the image code.

    Good luck

Look for the "Go Advanced" button under the quick reply. Or, click "quote" in the reply you want to link to. Then scroll that window down a little and you'll see a button to manage attachments, click that, then select the files you want to show in your post and upload them. Enter some text in the body of your post, and Submit it. Done and done.

If your pictures don't show up, then you forgot to click the Upload button on the manage attachments window.

Those show up in the forum viewer style. Doing it the way suggested by Paulie9fingers puts the big images right in the post, so that's nicer but it adds the intermediate step of putting the files on photo server.

    Hi

I took this photo at Fremont. The Big names from L.A. frequented Half Moon Bay Or Fremont to test their new cars. I believe they did this to keep local L.A. racer's prying eyes away so they could tweak the engine chassis combinations. The good air and excellent track surfaces of the NorCal strips provided them a good base line to start with. If my memory serves me correctly, this was Landy's first outing at a NorCal strip. He hadn't gone to fuel injection yet. One thing that always perplexed me was. What or who was the major decal/sponser indicated on the rear window of this car? Anyone have any ideas? It may be trivial but I'd like to know. The decal is quite large but does not fit into any typical manufacturer/sponser of the time. Someone. Help!
    Take care............TOM

    Fam4Willys,
If you're talking about the round decal, it isn't in the back window...it's the one in the driver's side quarter window. If you're referring to the thing at the top of the back window that looks like it has wings...that appears to be a stray bit of lint or a hair on the photo. Much like the smaller one just to the right of it on the roof (1 o'clock position).

Man, I remember when the tower was on that side of the track. But then I also remember Langendorf bread.

    Hello again,

In regards to my last post of Landys Dodge. If you enlarge the photo, look at the rear passenger side window just below the vent holes. There is a large white circular decal with a blue boarder and what appears to be some sort of lettering or logo in the center. I do not recollect an Isky decal with this configuration. Could the sun be playing tricks on the plexiglass? The Isky decal that you posted shows a large "I" surrounded by all red. Not doubting your observation but could this have been an early version of a Dick Landy Industry Logo?? A drag racing association decal that Dick belonged to??? Mickey Thompson Decal???? Does anyone remember if Isky actually sponsored this early factory car???? I've scoured the internet for a more detailed view of this decal but have come up with a blank. It's quite possible that Landy could have had two different types of decals pasted on both the drivers and passenger side. That would enhance the confusion. Anyway. Thanks for the input. We may never know what that decal represented.

    Take care...........TOM

Looks like it spun for a couple of feet then hooked. Are those the new Radir 12-32s? It's encouraging to see that the old style slicks are actually trying to hook-up!!!!! That Dart sure has the right look, NICE!!!!

Nope your not seeing things, it's now here in the UK in my culpable hands...
It's off to germany this week for Bottrop Kustom Kulture show for some good old flag drags, then back for the Nostalgia nationals at Shakespeare County Raceway racing in the "Gasser circus" shootout, where hopefully we can get a little more air under that front.
