If it has anything to do with Andy, it's cool.
    He didn't screw around.

From what I have read tonight, they had there own foundry. It does look like a Edelbrock though

True but sometimes a guy grabs what he has available at the time.
    That's a nifty intake Hitchhiker.
In the early 50's when the Granatelli Bros had a garage/speedshop Andy wrote articles for either Popular Mechanics or Mechanics Illustrated about hopping up engines of the period. I got to read a lot of them when we lived in a rental house on Bainbridge Island, Wa in the late 50's and there was a Stack of them in one of the hall cabinets.

maybe a hose hooked up to give a little squeeze to the engine

  14. pretty common intake around the midwest. From what I recall, Andy's dad owned a foundry, so making this stuff was fairly easy. There were Grancore heads too. The early ones were the prettiest ever produced anywhere. 1" deep fins, and looked great polished and painted. Back in the good old days you could stumble across 20 or 30 matched sets of heads and intakes at any midwwest swap meet.

I bet they are way more common around Chicago. Loyalty to the local guy right? I've never seen one before.....but that's not saying much:D

I bought a set of heads like Isetta's wall hangers, except mine are the nicest flathead heads I've ever seen. Perfect condition and are going on my "someday" '32 roadster. Then my wonderful wife bought me the 2-2 intake (like the pics at the top) to match!

All Grancor stuff is rare, even here in the midwest. I usta have a '49-53 three carb intake that had three-bolt carbs on the ends and a four-bolt in the center.

Their 1947 catalog. The envelope was postmarked. I wish Vince had signed it.

I hope so....it was less than the cost of a new edelbrock super dual. gotta keep that budget down.
