Just wanted to post some picts of my ongoing (way too long) project and appreciate any feedback/comments. My new goal is to complete it for Mooneyes Xmas show and well, I figured by declaring this goal publicly I might actually get it done!

I bought it some time ago and have been working on it SLOWLY ever since. My initial plans were to go fenderless (this was when Rudy's truck had just come out- I won't do the math, but that give you an idea of how long ago I got the truck!) Luckily I move as fast as a snail on prozac, so my taste changed for the better and fenders/runnning boards are back in the picture. (Of course finding good fenders and runnings boards that are not fibergl*** added yet more time to the "build")

So far it's been chopped, suspension is all dialed in, '40 dash grafted to '37 upper, custom bed from Last Refuge added, 327 (yep SBC) rebuilt etc. etc. In the process of installing Lucky's Speed shop swinging pedals and then the Vega box. Then it's onto the body work.

OK so that's it. I will try and post picts as progress is made.

    Thanks.

Man thats a sweet looking truck! Good call on the fenders too. Makes me miss my old 35.
Do you have a picture of your firewall? One of the things that always bugged me on my 35 was that I recessed the firewall too much and took up too much space inside the cab. Well, that and I pro-streeted it and never got around to changing the rear end back like it should be. I was originally going to put a big block FE engine in it until I acutally put it in to mock up the motor mounts and realized Id have to go without a hood so I switched to a 302 Ford.

Here is a couple of pictures of mine.

    Thanks for the comments.

    Dirk35,
I will post a pict when I get a chance, but I actually grafted in an earlier Ford firewall (no battery tray) and then modified the center section. I made 2 cuts up the side, then bent it back and filled in with a few pie slices. Probably hard to follow without pictures, but it was fiarly simple and looks basically stock. The SBC didn't need a whole lot of room anyway...
