Thanks for the photos, not my kind of event, but people on this board always talk about "DRIVERS", look close at these photos , all different styles of cars but all "true" long -distance Drivers, *****en!

  3. I hear ya - different strokes for different folks. I'm a biased Ford guy, but enjoy EVERYTHING - particularly when "driven".

They say there is an *** for every seat. I think its cool to see them rack up miles. Again to each is own, but give credit for making them drivers. Thanks for posting.

I was there. The thing I liked about the "show" was that every car was dirty.

Went to the Long Haulers ceremony today at the Proving Grounds. WAY COOL! There were probably over 1000 cars that made the entire trip.

Not a lot of rods, mainly muscle cars and late models, but still nice to see

I wasn't planning on going to this event but when I hopped on 696 to head back to Ohio I saw a bunch of these guys flying down the freeway.......so I figured what the hell, I'll follow them out to the metropark. A lot more vehichles there then I thought.....didn't see much that interested me but a cool way to kill a few hours. It was neat to see those early super stockers though.

I don't see how some of those guys can afford to do it. Thousands of dollars in gas, hotel rooms and food. Seems like theres a cult like following with the power tour.

We just got back from jumping in on the Power tour at Indy and going on thru to Detroit. We had a great time,,,,,,6 guys a '68 camaro and 2 corvettes. all six of us switched off being drivers and copilots in all three cars which made it alot of fun. Plenty of great HAMB friendly stuff for me to check out and met some great people. Need to have my '52 Olds ready for next year. The food was good at Hooters too!!!!!!!!!!!!1
