I am working on a 31 chevy sedan and want to keep the original front axle and use a vega box with cross steer. Does any one know what steering arms I can use that will take a tie rod end rather than the ball and socket that is original to the car? I have spindles from ECI and disc brake setup from them. I have searched the web for up to date steering arms but can only find parts for a Ford.
Thanks for any info you may have.

Have you called ECI? Good tech help there.

I talked to ECI at the York show over the weekend. I was going to use flat steering arms from Speedway that use a HEIM joint instead of a tie rod. ECI said to stay away from them cause they break but could not help with where or what to use for a steering arm.

You may be able to use arms from a '49-54 chevy car. I used these on a pickup axle to get rid of the ball & socket....can measure them if you want.

You can knock the ball out and have them reamed for normal tie rod ends.

Tried knocking the ball out with no success. I don't have a torch to heat them but will keep trying. sounds like the best solution. Thanks for the help.

Sid adapts the stock arms for tie rod ends. I'll be doing my 32 chevy truck arms real soon.

I'm in the boat with JYPSEA and would be interested in converting my 30 chevy ball arms to tie rod ends. Is Sid a commercial business and does anyone have contact info for him?

I got the balls out with an air chisel. It was a fight to the finish but I won. I'll be fitting the steering arms for tie rods soon as I get a new tie rod and drag link.
