No, the wheel openings are larger on the big truck.

http://www.google.com/search?q=1942...SFYis0AHW5sDqDA&ved=0CEsQsAQ&biw=1280&bih=584 Shows the different 42 Chevy trucks and shows what Black Primer said in post 2. I think 42 to 46 are the same though.
There is an active pre 47 section on http://67-72chevytrucks.com/ that has guys who are really into that body style. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/forumdisplay.php?f=202 They do have a cl***ified section too http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/forumdisplay.php?f=208 but you can't post on it unless you are a paid subscribing member. No charge to look though. And a lot of our Hamb truck guys are on that one too.

are GMC fenders the same as on Chevy 1/2 ton pickup

  6. Yes if they are both 1/2 ton they are the same. The only difference should be the grill treatment.

There may be a bolt hole or two off but thst is just a matter of finegeling a bolt hole or two. They will be the same size and shape.

You can use '41-46 fenders by the way.

  8. It comes from making mistakes on my part. :D

A lot of what I know is because I have screwed a lot of stuff up.
