Well I guessing I need to know a few things before I order a steering column but what are they...? Will the motor need to be exactly placed when I go to figure it out.? How or where do I need to mount my steering box..? ( Cross steering will be used. with a Saginaw 525 box.).I will be using Lake style headers if someone needs to know.Did I forget to add something..?

I always locate the engine, exhaust and so on and then see where the best location os for the steering box. I am quite certain that others will add to this thread with better advice.

I don't know if this will help but if you go to http://www.borgeson.com/ they have a section labeled "steering design". Give all kinds of info on properly setting up a steering system. And it's general info....not specific to the parts they sell....just a general how-to.
