Hey everyone! I have had my pontiac for over a year and now, today I can finely start the long project that's ahead!! I will keep you all posted and post as many pictures as I can! ~Amy
My Dad had a '40 Pontiac 2dr sedan when I was preschool age. He would sit me on his lap and let me steer the car around San Pedro, CA. I think I was 4 or 5 years old. It kinda freaked me out sometimes because I couldn't reach the pedals to shift or stop. Memories... Good riding with the Poncho!
I'm going to start sanding it down and slowly make it look pretty lol!! Just as I save up some money for more parts!!
Here are pictures of when I got it And here is my boyfriend and fellow HAMBer D_Lazaris wrenching away on the engine
Ha! Well we aren't married yet. But I'll make sure to get the rambler done as soon as possible. But I guess I have to blame myself for getting Amy into cars. She wants to race her Pontiac at the Antique Nationals next year!
Nice! I like to see old Pontiacs getting resurected! Good luck, here's some motivation. It's our stocker 40 Poncho special 6 this last weekend in our local car show up in Nor Cal.
Wow!!! Thank you so much for sharing this! It's great to see what my car will hopefully look like someday! Also the color of your car is the same mine once was! Now I really can't wait to getting my car on the road!!
Hey guys! So I have been doing a whole lot of thinking with what to do with my Pontiac... Because I haven't been to lucky with finding parts I thought I might start by turning it into more of a Kustom. What kind of fenders (that would be easier to find) would work with the lines of my car? Would 40's chevy/buick/gmc fenders work? I would prefer to keep the original Pontiac grill.
Also my lovely boyfriend is letting me have his ford y-block to use for an engine, unfortunately the original straight 6 flathead is to far gone (well atleast to far gone with my budget) so this will make a nice little hot rod engine (not a cookie cutter sbc hehe)
Haha what kind of coup!? And i know this might sound silly but where? I'm always looking for old cars to work on!!
