What to do in Kansas City June 17-19?

The Family Unit will be in Kansas City this weekend. If I don't act now, I'll spend the entire weekend at the Farmer's Market and someplace really exciting for a 6-year-old girl, like every other weekend trip.

So...what can I work in for me that weekend? The show and swap meet in Sedalia is too far away. I'd be happy with a local cruise.

 

Evening of the 18th you can come to my place and grill out. Best I got to offer.

 

There is a cruise night at Johnny Rays in Lee's Summit Saturday evening. It pulls out a big crowd, I might be there myself in my 55 Buick.

 

I appreciate that offer. I'll probably be waist-deep in a hotel pool trying to keep my kid from drowning at dinnertime but thanks!

 

What time does it typically start and end?

 

I thought the "art of the chopper" show was starting this weekend at Union Station but it's not until the 24th. Sorry.

There was a thread a couple of months ago with some good suggestions for "things to do in Kansas City."
