This is so simple, I'm almost embar***ed to ask. I did some searches but didn't come up with anthing.

In this day and age where you can find damn near anything on the internet, why can't I find a decent source of flanges with which to build my exhaust system?

I know about the Flange Man but they require a tax exempt number and I don't have one. I could make the damned things but it's more trouble than it's worth. In this day and age, surely someone is importing decent stamped out flanges from China at a reasonable price.

It's kind of stupid that people like Summit and Speedway sell "do it yourself" exhaust pipe kits but they don't sell the flanges.

    Anyone got any sources?

do up a couple of designs, save in a DXF file, then find a laser or water jet CNC shop to cut them out for you. the more you order the cheaper thay will be. I have a CNC plasma cutter but the finish is rough. Have you tried burns stainless or stainless works? they both have flanges for exhaust stuff.

Your local speed shop should sell vibrant stuff, really good quality we use them exclusively when we build exhausts and reflex gaskets. Never a problem.

  7. You know that shop off 150 (coming towards my house) near Big Boy's Toys. He may have some parts in his shop to sell you. I bought a couple 2 bolt flanges to use as temporary pipes for my Hemi.

http://www.victoryheaderflanges.com/ Do a search. Alliance member. Nice product. If he is to expensive for you and Little Sum Ming isn't making what you want, do what I do. Drill press, saw, file.

I feel your pain. I owned a muffler shop for over 20 years and bought from the flangeman. I still get emails from them but they did not have the 2 1/4" 2 bolt universal flanges either. I could find expensive SS flanges but this is a driver and not a show queen. Mild steel 2" and 2 1/4" flat steel 2 bolt flanges are not readily available.

Believe it or not I found what I needed at J.C. Whitney. I spent a lot of time Googling exhaust flanges and finally said what the hell... J.C. Whitney was all that was left. They had what I needed with good prices and they were here in a couple of days. I never would have thought of them without a Google search.

The warehouses only stock what are good sellers. They have plenty of tuner fart cans and cat back systems but mild steel flanges are hard to find. It doesn't help that I'm a tight *** and refuse to pay high prices for cheap stuff. I just am not going to pay 20 bucks a piece for a SS flange.

Got my two bolt flanges to fit my 331 Chrysler from JC Whitney. They still have a lot of good old parts, you just have to wade through the other imported ****.

Thanks for the info. I was looking for those 2 bolt flanges yesterday and could not find any either.

Well, it turns out it's not just easier to buy them off ebay. Quality looks good, too.
