Me and my Swiss car buddies have some very "special" experiences with buying parts from the US. Sometimes they don't even deliver out of the country and if there is something wrong (for ex. the wrong part delivered) they don't even answer the phone or mails... BUT: I ordered parts from O'Brien Truckers - Halibrandt, "Buick" disc brake conversion and some other stuff - several months back. And now I installed a part and it was not working properly. So I asked Dennis if he would send me asap a new one (would pay for it!), because other than that the roadster is ready to go. Not even 24 hours later I got a mail on my computer saying that he double checked the replacement part, already sent it via priority mail to Switzerland and now it comes: all for free!! Guys, that is someone to do business with!! Just wanted to post this very good experience, thanks Dennis!! Peter
I dealt with him on car club placques(sp) and he still had the original art work from back in the fifties. He delivered the new ones on time and for what he said he would do. Great guy! Later, Dick
We hung out at round up this year and became instant friends to the point that he is working on something that I kind of helped with that if it works will be sooooo cool.
Top notch in my book........He will go "Above & Beyond" to help & even if it is for a car plaque. Chris
Good goin' Dennis! I hear in Texas, they don't bother with locks because they can just hang their holster on the knob and sleep soundly.
I have known Dennis since I moved to New England from Minnesota in '81. Always a gentleman and an honest purveyor of true old school cast aluminum hot rod parts. He does it because he truly enjoys hot rods, in the tradition of Almquist and Honest Charley (the original 50s version).
10-4 on great folks, Sue and Dennis can't be beat on what they offer. Service and honest fair pricing are an everyday deal. As good as the best and better than the rest. Hamb Alliance vendor to boot. Go O'Briens and go right!! ~sololobo~
Good to hear some positive reviews, instead of the same ole I got ripped crap. There are some damn fine people out there still. Once you find them treat them well.
Dennis is a great guy, I had the pleasure of talking with him in length at austin, I really enjoyed it, nice guy .
My avatar is from O'Brien's. Last produced in the 60's and Dennis has the mold. He may have your old club's too.
If Dennis and Sue ever came to my home town, the town fathers would most definitely place a plaque in their honor. Hmmm, wonder who we could get to make the plaque in the first place?
the part just arrived...will bolt it on and go for the first shake down miles with the new engine hopefully friday!!! thanks again Dennis!
