I am building a '91 360 engine for my '32 Plymouth PB. I have an intake that's been sitting in my shop for about 20 years and I want to use it to top off the build. I have checked the casting numbers and can't find them referenced in any of the books I have, so I'm asking for help from the HAMB. It is a cast iron dual plane with rectangular ports and the casting number 4100340-1. All the bolt holes and ports line up, (I checked using the gasket) the only issue I can see is an upside down U in the center of each head that is not covered by the intake.I was told by the gentleman who gave it to me that it was off of a police interceptor. Any help from the Mopar crew would be appreciated.
My casting # reference is at home, but don't worry about the exposed opening, just the way small block Mopars are.
A standard Thermoquad hirise, probably off a 360. Good manifold, I have three of them on various Dodges.
correct been running them for years like that. what stricks me is that a 360 LA intake should not fit a Magnum 360.

The LA intake will work on the Magnum engine if you modify the mounting bolt holes. The LA intakes the bolts went into the head at a 90 degree angle to the intake surface, on the Magnum engines, the intake bolts mount into the head at a 90 degree angle to the top of the block. The holes and ports match up, just the angles are different. That is the later model small block intake 78 & newer, because the thermostate housing is not centered on the intake like the older intakes (72-77). You will need to use the newer stat and gasket because they are smaller (I think) then the older ones. Gene
