Are these original bolts? I had these bolts bolted to my front spreader bar on my 32. They have a threaded tube on one end. Are these original and what are the threaded tubes for? THX. Also, does anyone have the link to the posting where someone repairs a 32 spreader bar using a ball bearing. I've tried doing a search but can't find it anymore. I even tried looking on the FordBarn but no luck.

YES, they are original! I repaired a bent spreader bar using a mandrel bender with NO inside dies.

The bolts go from the inside out and the front splash apron is attached with screws into the tubes that are threaded. The front bumper irons go over the exposed threads on the outside of the frame and are secured with lock washers and nuts.

Model B Garage has a tech on repairing a '32 column with a ball bearing...that might be what you are thinking of: http://www.fordgarage.com/

Spreader is much heavier metal and would also need some work on the insides of welds to open up the bore of the tube.

Oh, the bolts are from a Saturn minivan. Send'em to me.

    Yes those appear original.

See the link Original Splash Shield Bolts (Studs) on Ford Garage.
