So I get tons of PM about my avatar it's Susie the little blue coupe a walt Disney cartoon post ww2 were a life after various owners and a probable life sentence at a local junk yard, Susie gets sold to a young snot nosed hot rodder and is hopped up and happy in the end. From what I've heard they based the new cars movies from this cartoon. <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7pxap-M_--k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> There's also another hot rod cartoon called one cabs family where a family of taxi cabs has a rebel son who wants to be a hot rod and not a cab. In the end he decides to be both a hot rod cab. <iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/poh-DoKbuo8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Both awesome cartoons...if anyone has any more feel free to post.
I remember the Taxi one & one very close to the same story involving airpalnes but do not remember any others. I am looking forward to more post on the thread. Of course I remember Susie the little blue coupe. Not only the cartoon but Disney had a 45rpm record of the story along with a read along book. I had dozens of these book as a boy but Susie was far & away my favorite. Your avitar brings up found memories of my childhood everytime I see it.
Mom used to read Susie the Little Blue Coupe (a Goldenbook) to me when I was little. It was my favorite and may have sparked my whole interest!
Man I remember watching that when I was a little kid. I probably haven't seen that in 25 years. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Susie the Little Blue Coupe. I laughed...I cried. OK, I admit I watche both cartoons...and enjoyed them. LOL. "They stripped 'er fenders, chopped 'er top, shackled 'er down, and hopped 'er up." Cool, erlomd! Now I get your avatar... The Little Cab turned out to be a sleeper! LOL.
I think I bought a car from this guy once... "><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7fEf6NsemXQ" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="349" width="425"></iframe>
I remember a long while back when the wonderful world of Disney aired on Sunday nights watching a short film where a guy was pinstriping a car and the stripes took off and went all over the car. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
The Wacky Racers........ rumor has it that Muttley is a HAMBer.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKm5xQyD2vE&feature=related
Not a feature cartoon but a cool vid by the Sadies.... none the less.... I dig the cool drawing and cheapo animation! a good ole Toe Tapper from T.O
Finally somebody else remembers that one. I've talked to several people about it and they think I'm hallucinating. LoL
Another one no one has mentioned is a Model T like car that likes to race a train then gets old and a kid buys it and "hot rods" it and it races a train again. Kinda like Susie and Lil Cab combined. I think it is older like from the late 30s maybe.

I remember seeing the motorist goofy as a kid.. Never seen Susie the little blue coupe but that was an adorable film!
The pinstripe race is the beginning of "Dad Can I Borrow the Car" from Disney. Early '70's live action and animation. One of many that might explain my automotive fever...
I remember this one, I thought it was a Mopar funny car and for some reason I think I remember it on Sesame st????
